It states you can't transfer from multiplayer to single. I may fire this game up as I never really played it having gotten Diablo2 right after I bought it.Īdded: After I wrote the above I found a very detailed playing guide someone (Jarulf's Guide to Diablo/Hellfire) had written years ago. If you can't convert multiplayer Diablo 2 characters to Diablo 2 single player (to best of my knowledge) I can't possibly see HF having this feature (without a 3rd party fix).
Since the game dates back to 1997, the multiplayer aspects may have had low priority let alone transferring characters back and forth. I know this does not directly answer your question but I would doubt you can do it with a multiplayer character. This implies the game itself did not include basic transfer per game menu. Per the readme.txt(wri) on the Hellfire CD: It mentions being able to transfer a saved game file (single_#.sv) to Hellfire by copying it and moving it into the Hellfire directory and changing the extension to hsv.
